We use Craig & Rose paints in our sister decorating business, Cheltenham Decorators. We know them well and love using them to achieve a professional decorative finish.
We don't sell anyone else's paints, as we don't believe you can be all things to all men. Focusing on the Craig & Rose retail and trade range makes us knowledgeable and that means we can help and advise you in a more informed way.

 | Primers and Undercoats
Craig & Rose's range of primers include Plaster Primer/Sealer, Alkaproof Plaster Primer,
Acrylic Primer/Undercoat, Superose Wood Primer, Red Oxide Primer, Zinc Phosphate Primer, QD Metal Primer and QUAD 8 Metal Primer. |
| | Varnishes
Craig & Rose varnishes have been used by specialist decorators for many years.
The range consists of traditional oil-based Extra Pale Varnishes and modern water-based Acrylic Varnishes that will allow the protection of paint effects created with scumble
glazes. They can also be used to decorate and protect wooden surfaces in and around the home. |
| | Glazes
Glazing or broken colour work such as ragging, graining, stippling and other paint effects can be achieved with either Craig & Rose's traditional Oil Scumble Glaze or Craig & Rose's Acrylic Scumble Glaze. Various effects can be achieved by adding around 5 to 10% of the appropriate coloured or white paint and further tinting with colour concentrates. Glazes should be thinned depending on the desired effect. |
| | Metallic Paints
A water-based semi-gloss paint made with metallic pigments in an acrylic resin for the
decoration of cornice, dado and picture rails internally. Can also be used outside.
Available in Pure Gold, Silver Plate and Gunmetal Black. |
| | Micaceous Paints
An oil-based exterior protective paint containing polyurethane resins and
micaceous iron oxide pigments to give a high build, high performance matt coating.
Use over zinc phosphate or QUAD 8 primer. Recommended for exterior metalwork. The
pleasing textured finish gives additional grip and slip resistance. Available in Natural Grey and Silver Grey. |
| | Chalkboard Paints
A blend of specially selected pigments in a water-based acrylic to allow the creation of
a matt chalkwall area on walls or suitably primed boards. Can be used inside and outside. Allow 24hrs before chalking. |
